Commission Rates
At Lingochats, our goal is to maintain a commission system that is simple to understand, rewards Locals for being engaging with Learners, and doesn't require Locals to earn the best rates over a period of time. All Locals start with a 5.0 rating, by default, so the first lesson will be 16%.
We use a 5-star user rating system. 5 is the best. The following are the rates:
16% if rating >= 4.8
18% if rating >= 4.5 and 4.8
20% if rating >= 4.3 and < 4.5
22% if rating >= 4.0 and < 4.3
25% if rating >= 3.5 and < 4.0
28% if rating < 3.5 (possible suspension)
